Central Mailing raised £600!
On the 15th July, two of our team members completed a 5K Muddy Run for Cancer Research. Altogether, Central Mailing raised £600 for the charity.
The run consisted of thick muddy puddles, various obstacles and a fire truck!
Here is what they had to say:
What did you do the race for?
Laura: ‘For my family members who have been affected and for everyone else fighting.’
Courtney: ‘I raced for my Nan, Great Nan and Aunty who lost the battle and for everyone else who has had to struggle with the effects of cancer.’
What did you find challenging:
Laura: ‘There were space hoppers which were a huge challenge. My legs were screaming at me.’
Courtney: ‘Running through the fire hose right at the start as it was really cold. Space hoppers were also a challenge.
What did you enjoy the most:
Laura: ‘The atmosphere and the feeling of everyone pulling together to fight this awful disease.’
Courtney: ‘I agree, the atmosphere was amazing and the slide at the end was fun, despite me falling over in front of everyone.’
Would you do it again?
Laura: ‘Definitely, already signed up for next year!’
Courtney: Definitely, bring on next year!
Both team members definitely felt it on Monday when they both hobbled in the office due to painful legs, but they both agree it was extremely fun and would do it again.
