Epson using 100% recycled paper

Epson Australia has become the first printer supplier in the country to use Planet Ark’s Paper for their own printing. What’s so special about it? Completely recycled.
Garry Pearce is an environment manager and HR. He says, “Reducing the company’s impact on the environment is a priority. There are several key factors which influenced its decision.”

“It is important that people get the most out of their products. Now they can use recycled paper, thus contributing to a good environmental outcome. Before we chose to use Planet Ark Paper we conducted a number of tests to ensure it met high industry standards,”

What Makes Planet Ark paper different?

“It isn’t just 100% recycled. It is also carbon neutral and made with locally certified material. From our viewpoint using Planet Ark Paper does all of the above.”
Reese Malcolm, recycled paper programs manager, Planet Ark says, “We consider Epson’s decision a strong endorsement for the high quality of Planet Ark Paper. We hope Epson’s decision will encourage other Australian businesses to close the recycling loop by adopting 100% recycled paper too.”

The organisation said they have saved 1,280 tonnes of carbon emissions and 475 tonnes of waste from landfill too.

Australian Paper owns Australia’s only wastepaper recycling and de-inking plant, in the Latrobe Valley, Victoria. The $90m facility takes up to 80,000 tonnes of wastepaper out of Australia’s landfill each year. This is saving up to 200,000 tonnes of carbon emissions which are equal to more than 70,000 cars.

Planet Ark Paper is 100% recycled, FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified, carbon neutral and Australian made.
