2015 so far

2015 So Far!

2015 has so far been a year to remember at CMS! Quite possibly the year which has seen our largest growth. We are now a Team of 60+. In addition to this, we are outputting more mail pieces then we ever have. Our average monthly volume is in the region of 2 Million. We have reacted by investing across all Departments. During the summer we achieved the prestigious ISO 27001 Data Security certification to accompany our ISO 9001 Quality and 14001 Environmental certifications. We are in the process of having a new bespoke operating system built, which will be called Integral. We have a new bespoke and ultra-secure file transfer system called SW30 and have upgraded our FTP to an SFTP. You are reading this on our newly launched website.

Increasing demand for colour digital printing led to us investing in a second production colour digital printer (Konica Minolta C6000 with a booklet maker and a colour collaborator). To enable growth and faster lead times in 2015, we have also invested in a new Xerox Versant 80 which is a high speed digital colour press with a Performance Package to process fully personalised colour printing jobs at 80 pages per minute. Our mono laser printing volumes have led to us investing in a new Xerox Nuvera 144, we now have 8 digital printers on-site.

Our other investments include:

A new Horizon cross-folder giving us 5 automated folding machines. A new HP X-Jet inkjet printer with dual heads, a vacuum base, conveyor and friction feeder. This new inkjet technology enables us to print onto any stock. CMS were very impressed with the X-Jet and soon after invested in a second system mounted over our Norpak polywrap machine to enable us to print the name, full address, postage impression and return address directly to polythene. We also purchased a new replacement Astro Jet 1000 inkjet printer.

Central Mailing have invested in x2 further Buhrs BB300 envelope enclosing machines with camera matching capability – giving us x4 BB300 enclosing machines in total. We have just bought another polywrap machine (Norpak Polyprocessor) which we expect to be delivered in December. This gives us three automated polywrap lines. The new polyprocessor is fitted with camera matching equipment & verification software. We can therefore match 2 ways when carrying out client’s polywrapped mailings.

In November we will have the keys to our second premises. Being only a few doors down from our existing site (which will be primarily used for storage and hand fulfillment), we have invested in a Mitsubishi LPG counterbalance forklift truck and a new Peugeot Boxer Van to transfer printed stock between our 2 sites.

Each year we invest a substantial percentage of our profits in plant and machinery as well as our people. We aim to offer our clients the ability to process any mailing to an exceptional standard of quality with fast lead times, great customer service and competitive pricing. We would like to thank our customers for continuing to choose Central Mailing Services.
