Christmas Concert for Human Rights
For the past 6 years, Central Mailing Services’ CEO, Greg Bodycote has been involved with the running of a Christmas Concert aimed at raising money for the charities Freedom From Torture & Amnesty
International.
The event, to be held on Saturday 14th December at Carrs Lane Church in Birmingham, will feature performances by: Oya Batucada, The Gifted Praise Choir, The Zambian Women’s Choir, Jonathan Wilding, Angie Brown and The Quinborne Choir.
During last years’ event, a total of £3,000 was raised to help rebuild the lives of thousands of torture survivors in war torn countries.
The final total was donated to Freedom from Torture, who, for the last 25 years have been providing direct clinical services to survivors of torture, and Amnesty International who are based all around the world with the aim of standing up for humanity and human rights.
You can find out more about both charities here: http://www.amnesty.org.uk/index.asp & http://www.freedomfromtorture.org/
This year’s event aims to raise the same, if not, even more money for the charities, and everyone here at Central Mailing Services wishes Greg and the team the very best of luck!
