CMS Invest in New Equipment

We’ve had a busy January here at Central Mailing, continuing on from the successes of 2017. A strong start to the year has led to a number of investments and the purchase of some new toys for the business.

Server Upgrades

We recently purchased a second HPE ML350 server to provide a further level of resilience to our internal operations and external systems. We also purchased additional networking equipment, including managed switches to improve security and provide fault tolerance for our network.

At CMS we are committed to regularly improving and upgrading our systems to ensure the highest levels of performance and security for both our internal users and our clients. We are already a recognised recipient of ISO 27001 for data security, but we are keen to continue to invest and improve our systems to ensure we keep up with the latest data security standards.

Warehouse Investment

Fork Lift Trucks
We have invested in a new forklift truck to assist with operations as we continue to grow. The new forklift was supplied by West Mercia Fork Trucks for a very competitive part exchange that allowed us to keep hold of two existing forklifts until a later date.

Racking
This month we made the decision to make a large investment in our storage capabilities by purchasing additional racking. The latest additions bring our combined total to well over 1000 pallets, further enhancing our storage and pick and pack capabilities.

Air Compressors
We have also invested in a number of air compressors for operating our machinery. Long-lasting and durable these upgrades will help keep our systems fully operational and minimise downtime on operations.

Continued Improvement

As CMS grows we will continue to invest in improvements to our equipment and processes, ensuring our clients get the best service possible.
This latest round of spending totalled well over £80,000, and we’re not done yet!
