Crowds gathered in Cornwall to witness an unusual birthday party for the oldest Post Office. in the network.

A historic mounted messenger rode into Stoke Climsland yesterday as the branch celebrated 175 years of service to the local community.

Sub-postmistress Sue Watts accepted the greeting from Bude sub-postmaster Luke Francis, who delivered a birthday card on horseback and wearing a vintage postman’s uniform.
