Positive outlook for summer mailings

We’ve enjoyed some lovely sunshine recently – let’s just hope that wasn’t the only bit of summer weather we’ll see, as there’s certainly good cause for sunshine in the coming months. It all starts with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee this weekend, and a good few of our team have said they’re eagerly looking forward to taking in the street parties that will be seen in every part of the country.

It’s a big summer sporting wise as well, with the classic British summer staple of Wimbledon joined by Euro 2012, which kicks off just over a week from now. And of course there’s the Olympic and Paralympic Games in London to round off what will surely be a great few months.

The feel good factor has spread to the world of direct mail, too. We’ve been pleased to note that a number of the recent mail shots we’ve done for our customers have brought about an impressive return on investment for them. A postcard mailing for a new event surpassed all expectations, while a new seasonal brochure direct mail campaign saw record box office takings in its first week. There is every reason for marketeers to feel positive and consider this the time for a mailing success story.
