Royal Mail Unveils 2014 Christmas Stamps

It’s that time of year again when the Royal Mails famed Christmas stamps start to make their appearance.

The 2014 stamps have been designed by award winning illustrator Andrew Bannecekr and will feature Snowmen, Carol Singers & Ice Skaters along with other traditional scenes.

Overall, the Royal Mail has bought out five different designs for first & second class and airmail – all go on sale today.

The Royal Mail first produced special stamps for Christmas in 1966. A competition was run giving children the opportunity to submit their entries. Only twice since has the same happened, in 1981 & most recently 2013.
