As we observe World Environment Day 2025, themed “Putting an End to Plastic Pollution”, Central Mailing Services reaffirms its dedication to environmental sustainability and our journey towards achieving net-zero emissions by 2028.

Plastic Has Options
We believe there is still a viable case for using polythene where appropriate, provided it can be responsibly recycled. As more and more households now have the option to recycle polythene through doorstep collections, it becomes a great solution for heavier types of packs.
We stock a range of polythenes, from standard LDPE to bio-polythene, sugarcane-based options, and compostable films.
We also bale all our polythene in-house and send it for recycling each week.
The product has many virtues – it simply gets a bad press due to being incorrectly treated after use. Now that we in the UK are catching up with other countries in how we treat and recycle polythene, I genuinely believe the product still has a real purpose.
