About the Client

Hi-Volt is one of the markets leading Battery and lighting specialists, originally based in Ireland. They now have over 7 sites in the UK and Ireland and they service in excess of 800 active customers located worldwide. In addition to being an expanding wholesale and retail supplier of batteries and LED lighting, they also have their own in-house Battery and LED testing Lab, where they test products on a regular basis, ensuring consistent quality. All of the products that Hi-Volt distribute benefit from CE, UL & ROHS certification.

Details of the Work

Hi-Volt have a number of sub brands and have looked to support these brands with a variety of marketing campaigns. The client needed not only fulfilment and postage solutions; they also required our design services. With a number of different Direct Mail projects on the horizon, the client required design work over a number of different formats, ranging from duplex A5 printed flyers to A3 to A5 cross folded, tabbed naked newsletters. In addition, there were a number of promotional pricing documents and also supportive marketing collateral for a door drop campaign. Hi-Volt needed a supplier that could design, campaign manage, print and fulfil their campaigns along with posting both to their UK and overseas market places.

The Solution from CMS

Central Mailing Services have a Graphic Design team, who had an initial face to face meeting with the client and one of our dedicated Account Managers. The design team were able to obtain an accurate design and style guide from Hi-Volt to build a plan for the forthcoming campaigns and they were then able to create new and distinct looks for all three brands.

Using our secure data transfer portal, the client was able to log in remotely at any time to view the visuals and feedback, or advise any changes to be made. As soon as the designs were signed off, they were digitally printed and then fulfilled, ensuring that the campaigns dispatched quickly and effectively. Central Mailing Services design team carry out graphic design for a large number of clients and have experience in a wide variety of print formats, ranging from A6 invites to A5 multi page brochures, A4 magazines and A3 posters. The Design team has extensive experience in Adobe suite and can therefore work effectively across many mediums, including web design and bespoke email campaigns.

The Result

Hi-Volt have seen great results from the Design, fulfilment and mailing work CMS have carried out. Following the initial A5 flyer mailing to launch their new UK shop, a large door drop campaign was executed, which saw great results in terms of brand awareness and revenue gained by the new UK based operation. The printed trade sheets have been a great success and the new monthly newsletter has already proved to be a very useful marketing tool. The Newsletter is an A3 publication that is cross folded from A3 to A5, then sealed shut and sent out as a letter. The highly responsive design team have been able produce concepts and artwork options for the client in very short time periods which has meant that the client has been able to take advantage of last-minute price reductions and offers on their products. Having the design, print, fulfilment and postage solutions under one roof has hugely benefited the client and the low cost and fast turnaround times have greatly improved the ROI for Hi-Volt.
