ROI-Driven Charity Mailing Campaign for The Birmingham Hospice
Birmingham Hospice, facing a critical funding shortfall, partnered with Central Mailing Services (CMS) to redevelop their annual donation appeal. We’re proud to announce that the collaboration resulted in a highly successful direct mail campaign that surpassed expectations and provided crucial support for the hospice’s vital services.
The Birmingham Hospice offer free specialist care to the local community. Though due to insufficient funding from the government and a steep rise in the cost of energy, food and medicine, Birmingham Hospice have been forced into a deficit budget. The campaign significantly outperformed expectations:
Central Mailing Services implemented several strategic changes to enhance the effectiveness of Birmingham Hospice’s direct mail campaign:
Through using variable data printing, we added recipient names to the all mailing types throughout the campaign, including outer envelope to increase open rates.
We introduced tangible price points for donors to choose specific areas of support.
Implemented trackable QR codes to monitor online donations resulting from the mailing, ensuring the Hospite get an accurate representation of their ROI for the campaign.
We expanded reach to those potential high-income households in selected postcodes through utilising the latest technologies and distribution methods within partially address mailing (PAM).
