Letter Mailing to all Snowdonia National Park Residents

About the Snowdonia National Park Authority

The Snowdonia National Park Authority are responsible for protecting the natural beauty of Snowdonia National Park, whilst educating visitors on just what the park has to offer. The National Park covers a total of 823 square miles, making it Wales’ largest National Park. Home to over 26,000 residents, Snowdonia’s landscape is steeped with culture, history, and heritage, where the Welsh language is part of the day-to-day fabric of the area.

Detail of the Works Required

Central Mailing Services were lucky enough to be chosen to help the National Park Authority send a consultation letter to all residential units that are located within the parks area. With the data being split between two separate areas, both Gwynedd and Conwy.

The letter was printed over 3 and 4 sides of 90gsm A4 paper, folded to A5, then enclosing with a matching C5 window envelope. We then worked to sent out the letters via the most cost-effective economy postal service.

Our Solution

Data and Technology

Using data in key areas helped increase the ROI from the mailings for the authority. Our investments in software development and technology have enabled our clients to get the very best from their mailings. We worked closely with the authority on;

Data Cleansing and Suppression

We cleansed each mailing file before despatch, de-duping by household, flagging people who have moved or gone away, deceased records and carried out any needed address updates.

Direct Data Reporting

Our unique platform provides end delivery information back to our clients. Using the Royal Mail MailMark database, our software can pull reports for the authority to show the expected land date by Royal Mail.

Returns Management

Returns management is another tool we used to help the Authority, we offered the communications team the ability to track and manage any returned mail. Recording the record and building a suppression list to ensure on an ongoing basis we are not sending out records that will be sent back.

JICMAIL

Managed by a certified JICMAIL accredited account manager, this gave the Communications team access to look at and understand all the data that is tracked and generated specifically for their Posted Mail campaign.
