Trade work Northern Print and Direct Mail Company
About the Client
A well-established Print and Direct Mail company contacted Central Mailing Services as they required a partner firm to work with on occasions where they had reached capacity in house. The mailing house has just two envelope enclosing lines meaning that in busy periods they need to outsource further work.
Details of the Work
The job itself consisted of a large run of camera matched inserts to be enclosed to a C5 reverse window envelope for a well-known charity. The mailing pack had 6 inserts, 4 of which needed to be camera matched. The mail needs to be sorted for International Post, whilst consisting of extremely small sections and, as with almost all trade work, the timeline is tight and the job has to be dispatched quickly. As the work is camera matched, the client requires a full audit log of the work processed, allowing full transparency for the end charity.
The Solution From CMS
Thanks to Central Mailing Services continual investment in mailing equipment, technology and our state-of-the-art production centre, we are in prime position to provide trade services across the mailing and fulfilment industry. We have 5 high speed envelope enclosing machines in addition to 5 polythene lines, meaning we have huge capacity to support the industry when required. We also have the physical capacity, with over 2500 pallet bays we are able to hold and store for our clients a vast amount of print, stock and mailing consumables which ensures that even when faced with runs as large as 1 million items, we have the capacity to handle these efficiently and effectively.
Due to our investment in the latest camera matching technology for all of our BB300 envelope lines, we are able to camera match 4 varying documents at high speed whilst enclosing further generic inserts too. We carry out trade work for various types of organisation, from printers and mailing houses to print management firms and design agencies, we follow the exact processes and procedures that we have in place for all our end user clients, applying the same level of service and thorough quality control.
For this particular mailing we were able to complete the job quickly and within budget and whilst running the job on one of our BB300 machines, the trade client was able to come to site and sign off whilst on the machine. This style of transparency is typical of Central Mailing Services and we welcome all clients to visit the site and see first-hand how we work.
The work for the print and mailing company was released on schedule to the postal provider and the client was delighted with the way that we had processed the job, allowing them to satisfy their client and ensure that the campaign was on time. The peace of mind that the client is able to come to site and see their work on our machines is very reassuring and has allowed CMS to carry out a number of other trade jobs for the same client.
