Central Mailing Services complete Vélo Birmingham

CMS complete Vélo Birmingham!

This weekend saw thousands of cyclists take to the roads for Vélo Birmingham, a gruelling 100-mile (161km) road race through the West Midlands. Beginning on Broad Street in Birmingham city centre, the route took riders through the picturesque countryside of Worcestershire and Staffordshire before returning to Birmingham.

Roads were completely closed off across the west midlands as 15,000 cyclists attempted to complete the event, with participants ranging from total novices to seasoned veterans. It is expected that over £1,000,000 will be raised for various charities when the final totals are in, a massive effort from all those involved!

Central Mailing’s co-founder Greg Bodycote took on this challenge, successfully completing the course in 8 hours and raising over £1000 for local children’s charity SPLIT in the process.

Birmingham Children’s Charity – SPLIT

Birmingham based charity SPLIT work to support children and young people with liver disease as well as those requiring liver and/or intestinal transplantation. Treatment for these conditions can be lengthy and require patients to travel long distances. SPLIT aims to help families that may otherwise struggle with these issues.
