Paper wrapping is relatively new technology and very much in demand. With a typical cost of £500,000 for a highly specified paper wrap mailing machine, very few companies in the UK offer this service. There are two main markets for paper wrapping, some clients prefer paper wrapping to envelopes as it is more cost efficient for high volume letter / large letter mailings versus full colour envelopes & the result is a very impressive looking mail pack. For the Direct Mail & Publishing sector paper wrapping has strong interest for environmental reasons (versus even starch based polythene). Paper wrapping enables clients to achieve maximum postage discounts e.g Mailmark and the end result is a very impressive looking mail pack. It is not possible to machine enclose thick catalogues and publications into envelopes therefore paper wrapping is totally unique due to being extremely rare and because it looks nothing like a poly wrapped mail pack – it really does stand out.

We have invested in x2 brand new CMC ONE high speed paper wrapping machine enabling us to paper wrap at a speed of 20,000 packs per hour. The CMC ONE also poly wraps at a speed of 18,000 packs per hour. The machine has a bulk loader, shuttle feeder, x4 rotary feeders; which can dual feed x2 inserts per rotary feeder. All x4 of rotary feeders have camera technology enabling us to produce up to a 4-way match plus a 5th camera to match to the address on the outside of the mail pack. We also have a friction / stream feeder enabling us to feed a diverse range of products. We are able to take up to 1.2M paper reels for both printed and plain paper, we can inkjet personalise inline over a 4 inch width and can also load pre-personalised reels. We have x2 Nordson glue tanks with the ability to select either glue dots or strips, we can perforate all 4 sides plus trim and extract mail packs using x2 rotary cutters with extraction to produce packs with full bleed to all 4 edges. A high speed conveyor and Mailsort kicker enable high speed production. We are able to paper wrap using stock of up to 250gsm and we can produce mail packs up to 30mm thick.

We have the ability to produce over 500,000 paper wrapped mail pieces per day with the flexibility to operate 24/7. We can paper wrap a diverse variety of printed matter through automation.

We can produce packs where the outer print is all the way to the edge as well as producing packs that are up to 25mm thick.

Central Mailing Services can use up to 150gsm paper, so can wrap heavier packs, enclosing up to 10 inserts.

Our systems allow us to personalise every pack, ensuring that some items are selectively enclosed only for some individuals.
