Central Mailing Services secures £10m Oxford University contract
Firstly, we are delighted to announce that we (Central Mailing Services) have won a £10m three-year Oxford University. Due to this, we will be delivering a range of print, fulfillment and mailing services for Oxford University.
Secondly, we made Headline News over at Print Week:
Central Mailing Services has handled all of Oxford university’s direct mail work, fulfilment and postage for the past eight years and has now extended that relationship after winning a competitive tender process too.
8 years ago Oxford University had their own mailing centre in-house and wanted to use someone for overspill work but couldn’t find a supplier.
Oxford University used Central Mailing Services for extensive
mail fulfillment work for three years. Eventually, they closed their mailing centre. In light of this, we bought some of their equipment and integrated it all into Central Mailing Services.
Oxford University decided to go to tender about six months ago, not just on the direct mail side but on all of their journals as well, and we won the whole thing.
Central Mailing Services still continue’s with its existing arrangement to
print and mail the university’s short-run direct mail work, printed on its Xerox and Konica Minolta digital kit.
The Oxford University Contract win can enable the business to take on an additional five or six staff and would potentially boost its turnover to £8m too.
